It is with great pleasure that Ben and I announce that the poetry section on the Coffee Spoon Auditorium has just been inaugurated with a piece called 'Painted Window Sill'. It is with even greater pleasure that we inform you that neither of us wrote it.
Back when we first came up with this idea of sharing our written work with the rest of the Internet speaking world and trying to entice others to join us, the one thing we really wanted at the outset was to be taken seriously. After all, we could be playing pinball. So we are very lucky that a talented young lady by the name of Rose Paton has done just that and submitted one of her works to our less-than-one-month-old site.
Poetry always speaks best for itself, so I won't attempt to describe the content here. Suffice it to say that we at Coffee Spoon are very impressed with Rose's writing, and hope that she will continue to send us poems and short stories in the future. And also that she might be an example to others (maybe you?) to take a chance on us. It's not at all hard, and we don't bite - not since the courts ordered us not to, anyway.
So join us in welcoming Rose Paton to the Coffee Spoon Auditorium. If you like 'Painted Window Sill' as much as we do, let us know using the comment button at the bottom of this blog. You click on it, with your mouse, and ... you'll figure it out.
Cheerfully yours,
Henry.
